New Year, New Natural Nivea

Hope the new year is going well so far for you.

Well without further ado let me say how I've been enjoying the skincare oldie brand, NIVEA and now especially with its all new pure and natural range.

I have always loved the Nivea brand in the little blue pots and it is all my mum ever uses.   She says it is the only cream that does not irritate her eyes- bit of a strange comment- but that's what she said.
I would not have used it that often the past few years as I did actually find it too thick for my face and hard to rub in smoothly,but recently I started to steal a little bit from my mum's large tub just to dab in any dry bits that appeared on my face after I had used mineral foundation.  Well I loved how that small dabble gave me a smooth finish.
So I ended up buying myself this mini blue pot version so I can pop it in my handbag.

The lastest Nivea Visage Pure & Natural range has recognised the modern trends towards more natural and pure skincare products.
I have been using these two products lately and I must say I am quite impressed:

1. Nivea Visage Pure & Natural Cleansing Toner
2. Nivea Visage Pure & Natural Soothing Day Cream

Lets take a look at what they are all about and my thoughts on them both.

 My verdict:   
I love a brand that shows me they know what I am looking for and what customers are searching for these days and I just love how it emphasises that absense of
any nasties.:)
First of all I love the fact that it is a cleansing toner so I do not have to buy both a cleanser and a toner.
I like it all in one and is one of the main reasons I use wipes because they offer me an all-in-one. 
I also love the clear transparent packaging which looks and feels fresh and clean and is recyclable.
Using the product, I pour a decent amount onto a cotton pad to wipe a wider surface area of my face at a time.
It is so cool and refresing and it makes your face feel so clean and very soft afterwards.  It has a nice scent that is not too strong.
It does seem like your skin is so dry and a bit tight after using it, but its just because it has done a good job of removing all the impurities and oil from your skin.  I always apply moisturiser afterwards.
I usually tend to use facewipes because I hate any laborious methods and having to use cotton wool, but I like using this especially when I only a little bit of concealer on some days and a bit of blush so instead of using a whole wipe I just dabble a bit of this on the cotton pad and it does the job.
It is handy too when I realise I have run out of wipes, I just use this.  I'd just need larger cotton pads if I have extra makeup on cos the small pads take too long.
I love having it as well as the wipes for that reason so I will definitely be getting this again. (There is also a cleansing lotion available.)

My verdict:

I love the fresh white recyclable packaging with photos of nature on it and the little glass tub.
I find the cream easy to rub into my face and it has a nice fresh citrus scent.
It seems a little oily when first applied but its absorbs in fast and leave your face feeling fresh, soft and moisturised.
I like to put this on before I put on any makeup as it prepares and protects my face from the day ahead leaving it nice and smooth all day long.
I also use it before bed too to nourish my skin during the night time cell renewal process.
